Artist Statement
I come from a family that has always embraced and appreciated art. My mom is a creative director at Hallmark, my stepdad is an apparel designer, and my dad spent the first 10 years of his life traveling and taking pictures. They have always allowed me to pursue the arts and this is one of the main reasons why I wanted to take digital imaging. After taking film photography and learning the various steps needed to develop film, I was interested in focusing on the digital aspect of photography. To my surprise, I was most interested in the editing process; learning basic editing techniques in photoshop soon became my favorite part of the class. Taking this class has been the highlight of my semester and I now have a new appreciation for digital photography.
